Role Play Rules

Part 1 of 2: Posting

1. Please do not godmod. “Godmodding” is when your Original Character is a Mary Sue (female Original Character)/Gary Stu (male Original Character). Additionally, godmodding is when your Original Character controls another character in the Roleplay, whether it is an NPC or an Original Character.

2. Accounts made just for your Original Character are strictly not permitted. They are almost like spam accounts. Please do not make an account for your Original Character.

3. Eventually, we will be handing out NPCs for members to log on as and use for the Roleplay. At this time, the plan is to limit one NPC per user. Anyone who asks for another NPC nonstop may lose their NPC account.

4. OC/YGO Relationship Rules
We are allowing OC/YGO relationships in this Roleplay. You cannot attempt to date an NPC without a Roleplay Director’s permission, so make sure you ask if you wish to have one. Any dating attempts without a Roleplay Director’s okay will be deleted/edited out.

5. All forum rules apply to the Roleplay. No exceptions.


6. You will be banned from the Roleplay if you cannot follow the rules properly. We will give everyone five chances. In other words; if you break the rules five times, you will be banned from the Roleplay for a week. After your ban is lifted, we will monitor your behavior closely. More steps out of line and your ban duration will be extended.

Part 2 of 2: Dueling

1. Your deck can have no more than 60 cards.

2. Unless stated otherwise, both players start with 5 cards in their hand.

3. You must state what cards you start with and what card you draw (this is to ensure you don’t happen to always have a card to get you out of the situation).

4. Please, please, please, PLEASE don’t win every duel you’re in, it’s not always about winning. Even in the show the good guy doesn't win all of them.

5. Both players start with 4000 life points.

6. You are allowed to normal summon monsters in face up defense position.

7. Unless stated otherwise, there is no Ante Rule, meaning that if you lose and an OC takes your card, they are breaking this rule. Only certain NPCs can take your card in a non Ante Rule (ie. Rare Hunters) duel.

8. No banned cards may be used at any time in any duel.
